Whatever Floats Your Goat
all of your friends that you found in the right places are doing all of the wrong things/and to one another, the masks and the faces are starting to look the same/wow, what a great day! for a realization that I am to blame/but gurl what you have underestimated is that I have nothing to gain/I want to be the reason you don’t have trust issues/don’t listen to all your fake friends, don’t put up with their abuse /I don’t care what they told you, it’s down to what you choose/to be refreshing and different, just for once tell the tr00th/do you understand what it takes to break molds and the plans that unfold/I see through you and all the pain you inflict while you hide and your lies contradict/I don’t know what you’ve done to her to make her feel like this all depends/on what she’s willing to do to feel worthless just to calm your insecurity/it’s enough for me knowing I’m the reason she’s done with you, now you know how it ends/I find comfort in the fact that you’ll never be friends/I’m starting to wonder if I have what it takes to make amends/and whether you understand that your so-called success comes at the expense of your lack of friends/you know your fingers were crossed even if she’s still oblivious/that will be the death of you faster than I could ever be/you can look down from your throne and call me naive and idealistic/but I’ll be waiting for the day you meet my eyes and the priceless look on your face/when you realize that the grounds of your beliefs have always been quicksand/I’ve made my move, and you’ve made a terrible mistake.
